Plant Biotechnology

Plant Biotechnology is an international, open-access, and online journal, published every three months by the Japanese Society for Plant Biotechnology. The journal, first published in 1984 as the predecessor journal, “Plant Tissue Culture Letters” and became its present form in 1997 when the society name was renamed to Japanese Society for Plant Cell and Molecular Biology, publishes findings in the areas from basic- to application research of plant biotechnology. The aim of Plant Biotechnology is to publish original and high-impact papers, in the most rapid turnaround time for reviewing, on the plant biotechnology including tissue culture, production of specialized metabolites, transgenic technology, and genome editing technology, and also on the related research fields including molecular biology, cell biology, genetics, plant breeding, plant physiology and biochemistry, metabolic engineering, synthetic biology, and bioinformatics.

Plant Biotechnology 是一本国际性、开放获取的在线期刊，由日本植物生物技术学会每三个月出版一次。该期刊于 1984 年作为前身期刊“植物组织培养快报”首次出版，并于 1997 年更名为日本植物细胞和分子生物学学会时成为现在的形式，发表从基础到植物生物技术应用研究。植物生物技术的目的是在最快的审稿周期内发表关于植物生物技术的原创和高影响力论文，包括组织培养、专门代谢物的生产、转基因技术和基因组编辑技术，以及相关的研究领域包括分子生物学、细胞生物学、遗传学、植物育种、植物生理生化、代谢工程、合成生物学、生物信息学等。
